Does anyone actually read this?

I’ll be amazed if you do. Really. Because I don’t.

But just to reward you for your curiosity, however, I shall grace you with a few answers to those burning questions you know you always had.

Q1. Who are you?

A: I’m a lowly human being pursuing my childhood passion. I know. Silly, isn’t it? HA. Childhood passion indeed! Does anyone ever dream of becoming a teacher anymore?

Q2. How old are you?

A: 23 going on 32. Every month spent teaching adds a few more lines to my face and a year in mortal age to my being.

Q3. How do you look like?

A: Horribly grotesque. That is why my students grimace when they look at me. I swear it’s not because I happen to have a huge pile of worksheets in my hands.

Q4. Have you ever regretted going into teaching?

A: Oh yes. Every single day. The teacher who tells you no is lying. However, I also have to justify myself by saying that there is really no other occupation I’d rather be doing (except maybe zookeeping. I’m pretty good at training monkeys).

Q5. What subjects do you teach?

A: English and Maths. Which is absolutely the most ridiculous thing EVER, because I was a double major in economics and psychology, AND I graduated with second-upper honours. Don’t let’s go there. I could go on forever. I have aspirations, however, of teaching economics in a junior college. Going back to my alma mater would be nice.

Q6. Which junior college did you graduate from?

A: Aha! I KNEW you would ask that. My last statement was a preamble. I came from an esteemed institution located somewhere in Central Singapore. Closer to the north, though. The ex-principal of that school resembled a Disney character whose name began with an M.

Q7. Why are you writing all these? Don’t you have better stuff to do?

A: No.
